It was Thanksgiving here in Canada last weekend and Wiston went to share in the festivities with family and friends away from home.
But the dilemma arose about what to do with his beloved Finn and Phoebe while he was away.
If you don’t know who they are are , you can read the story ” Wiston’s New Friends ” here.
And if you want to read about how hard it was to say goodbye to the two of them before he left, you can read the story of
“How to Give a Fish a Kiss” here.
When Wiston arrived back from his two days away, the house seemed so empty..
Up the road he went as soon as he could, to retrieve his two friends from where they had been staying and brought them home.
They were so happy to see him !
They would have kissed him if they could .
Now they are all together again and all is well .
Both Finn and Pheobe had stories to tell of the little people watching them through the glass.
And Wiston told stories of the feast he had while he was away .
All the leftovers are eaten, turkey soup has been made and the suitcases are now unpacked.
The smell of newly raked leaves is everywhere and the last of the autumn heat warms the air.
This is just too sweet! I’m loving what you are doing here, Sandy – combining your writing with Wiston and your art. It’s so perfect!! 🙂
Thank you so much for your ongoing support Sherry. He does seem to have arrived at my door with his his heart on his sleeve and his story to be told.
Soooo cute Sandy… and well done on the video… is that a first? xx
Thanks Caroline. Yes , first attempt at my own video. Hopefully everyone can load it in and see him enjoying an autumn ride.
oh my gosh. such a pleasure to read all this! feels like I am along for the journey with Wiston, your creativity, and his pals. I hope this will be a kids book at some point??!! 🙂 LOVE WISTON, his owner (!) and all the antics of his life. thanks for sharing! ❤
Aren’t you sweet Sandy ❤ ❤ . A little Wiston fan club. 🙂 I must say I'm amazed at the adventures he's caught me up in already. Did he only arrive on my doorstep 4 1/2 months ago. If ;)…. he were to become a book, he's got a few chapters under his belt already . He sends big hugs.
Another awesome adventure with Wiston. Your Thanksgiving dinner looked very yummy too. I’m happy that you got to go away to be with family all while Wiston’s two new friends were well taken care of. 🙂 I love the video of Wiston. It reminded me of how I used to love to swing when I was a little girl… all over the place and sometimes as high as I could possibly go without feeling like I was going to take off flying. 🙂 Lovely post Sandy. I just love your creative spirit and all that is evolving creatively in your life. xo
Oh Suzanne how did I miss your lovely comment :(. And now that we launch into preparations for all that December holds ..I think 2015 is going to be the best year ever for all us creatives, don’t you think ? <3. Wiston will no doubt keep me busy. I'm so glad you're enjoying his unfolding life.
Such sweet adventures, painting and swinging! Great little video.
Thank you Ellie. Wiston sure loves that swing ! Could hardly get him off it ! 🙂
